Dickson Rallies North West Leaders, Says NDC Victory Is “Within Reach”

PORT HARCOURT — The Founder and National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has declared that the party’s victory in the forthcoming elections is “within reach” following a strategic meeting with party leaders from the North West geopolitical zone.
The meeting, held at the weekend, brought together the NDC national leadership and State Chairmen from the North West to review campaign preparations and mobilisation plans ahead of the electioneering season.
Speaking after the engagement, Senator Dickson, a former Governor of Bayelsa State, described the North West as a decisive bloc in Nigeria’s politics and commended the zone for its commitment and readiness to work for the success of the party.
He acknowledged the leadership role being played in the region by the NDC Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and expressed confidence that the party’s structures under his guidance can convert growing political momentum into electoral success.
According to him, the discussions focused on assessing the party’s level of preparedness, strengthening coordination, and aligning both leadership and grassroots structures across the zone.
“The engagement was productive. It gave us the opportunity to review our readiness and to further align our strategy as we move into full campaigns,” Dickson said.
The NDC National Leader also called on members, supporters, and stakeholders nationwide to prioritize unity and collective responsibility above personal interests.
“The success of the NDC will depend not only on its leadership but on the commitment, discipline, and coordinated efforts of every member and supporter at all levels,” he added.
With campaign activities gathering momentum nationwide, the meeting signals the NDC’s increased focus on regional mobilisation as it positions for a competitive contest.
Concluding, Senator Dickson expressed optimism that sustained unity and effective mobilisation will deliver victory for all NDC candidates.
