  Edo State PDP Woman Leader and immediate pass Etsako East local Government Council Chairman Hon (Princess) Benedicta Attoh has announced her official resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today 13th February 2026.

The letter which was dated 12th February 2026 and addressed to Mr. Jackson Erua People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 10 Chairman in

RESIGNATION FROM THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP)

I wish to formally notify you of my decision to resign from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, with immediate effect.

It has been a great honour to serve on the platform of the PDP, particularly in my capacities as Executive Chairman, Etsako East Local Government Council, and as State Woman Leader.

I am deeply appreciative of the confidence reposed in me, and for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our party and community.

Over time, however, it has become increasingly clear that the endless court summons and internal distractions within the PDP have made it increasingly difficult to continue identifying with the Party.

My personal values, aspirations, and current engagements require a different path. After careful thought, reflection and wide consultation, I have therefore decided to discontinue my membership of the PDP and withdraw from all its activities.

Recently, a High Court in Benin delivered a judgment concerning my tenure as Executive Chairman, which has provided some clarity on matters relating to my service. While I am thankful for the outcome, I believe this is an appropriate time to focus my energy on fulfilling my responsibilities to the people of Etsako East Local Government, Edo State and the nation.

I remain sincerely grateful to the leadership, colleagues, and members of the PDP for their support and goodwill throughout my years of service, and I wish the party continued success in its future endeavours.
