Public affairs commentator, Barr. Ayebakuro Igbeta, PhD, has congratulated His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri and entire team of the Prosperity Government of Bayelsa State as it marks Six years in office, describing the milestone as a testament to purposeful leadership and strategic governance.

Barr. Igbeta, who is a one time Legal Adviser of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, sent his congratulatory message via a press statement issued to newsmen.
In the statement, he commended the administration of Douye Diri for what he described as unprecedented developmental strides achieved within the last Six years in office, particularly the Government’s efforts geared towards the completion of the Three Major Senatorial Roads in the bid to connect all parts of the state by road to Yenagoa the state capital. Igbeta noted that the government’s performance aligns substantially with the Bayelsa State Master Plan as envisioned by the state’s founding fathers, stressing that the deliberate adherence to structured planning has distinguished the present administration, therefore founding fathers of the state will be no doubt impressed and satisfied with Diri’s achievements.

According to the former IYC Law officer, the Prosperity Government has demonstrated commitment to infrastructural renewal, institutional strengthening, and human capital development in ways that have positively impacted communities across the state. He reportedly observed that key projects executed under the administration have improved connectivity, stimulated local economies, and enhanced the overall standard of living for Bayelsans.

Barr. Igbeta was further quoted as stating that beyond physical infrastructure, the government deserves commendation for fostering unity among the diverse interests, political blocks, and segments of Bayelsa State. He maintained that the administration has successfully bridged political and socio-cultural divides, promoting inclusiveness and collective ownership of governance.

Furthermore, the Chief Scribe of the Bayelsa State Centre for Youths Development also reiterated the general commendation of the Prosperity administration for the remarkable improvement in peace and security across the state. Igbeta noted that Bayelsa is currently experiencing a level of stability and calm that many residents have not witnessed before the advent of this administration, attributing the development to proactive engagement, effective coordination with security agencies, and sustained dialogue with stakeholders.

As the administration marks six years in office, Barr. Igbeta prayed God for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the governor and his team as they work toward the successful completion of their tenure. He expressed confidence that the remaining period would consolidate the gains already recorded.
