The Executive Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area, Hon. High Chief Ezenyili Kelvin Obi PhD, popularly known as EKO, has officially presented the 2026 budget, aptly titled “Budget of Infrastructure and Human Capital Development.” The proposed budget reflects a bold and strategic commitment to accelerating growth, improving public services, and enhancing the overall standard of living for the people of Oshimili South.

In his presentation, EKO emphasized that the 2026 fiscal plan is carefully designed to address critical infrastructural deficits while simultaneously investing in the people. According to him, sustainable development can only be achieved when physical infrastructure and human capacity are developed side by side. The budget prioritizes the construction and rehabilitation of roads, drainage systems, and public buildings, alongside improved healthcare facilities and educational support programs.

The Chairman further highlighted key interventions aimed at youth empowerment, women development, and skill acquisition initiatives. He reiterated that human capital development remains central to his administration’s vision, as equipping residents with relevant skills and opportunities will foster economic independence and long-term prosperity.

EKO assured stakeholders that transparency, accountability, and prudent management of resources would guide the implementation of the 2026 budget. He called on councilors, community leaders, and residents to support the administration’s developmental agenda, stressing that collective effort is essential for meaningful progress.

The 2026 Budget of Infrastructure and Human Capital Development stands as a clear testament to EKO’s commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and prosperous Oshimili South LGA.
