….Vindicates Oyetola From INEC Transfer Of Staff

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the Right Honourable Adewale Egbedun-led state House of Assembly over its meddlesome interlopers’ role in the internal affairs of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the unsubstantiated and frivolous allegation of linking the state leader of our party, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, to the statutory internal activities in the national electoral umpire in the state.

It would be recalled that Egbedun led his colleagues to address a press conference in Osogbo, the state capital, today, accusing the minister of marine and blue economy of being behind some routine operations carried out by the INEC in the state.

Such transfer of the INEC staff to another state should ideally not engender any furore when it would not be the first time that such is being carried out by the INEC which could not have been effected outside the purview of the Electoral Laws regulating the activities of the electoral umpire.

It is disgusting that the Accord Party that is scheming for Governor Adeleke’s re-election could disgracefully result to shedding of crocodile tears having become aware of its dwindling popularity more of recent time when the local governments under the leadership of the APC are getting genuinely ready to bring real governance to the doorstep of the masses compared with window-dressing street roads repairs as proofs of billions of naira received as allocations.

The Adeleke-led moribund government is sad that mere rainstorm already exposed a series of substandard works it thumbs itself up for as achievements to defend several hundreds of billions of naira that the APC government at the Federal level took bullet for to generate so that the state governments would be able to embark on real governance that transforms people’s lives to better but the opposite is the case in Osun State under the Adeleke government.

One is then not lost if it believed that save only by malpractice, this government cannot survive the next governorship election and the fact that they hurriedly begin to cry over usual internal routine activities of the INEC is obviously suggestive of something sinister behind the cries.

The shameful cries have really drawn right-thinking members’ attention to this angle that obviously, this Accord Party people have something up their sleeves.

This is so because our party is not even aware that such thing has happened within the INEC more so that our party is even less concerned about the internal activities of the INEC. We are challenging you to bring one of your cousins, victory at the polls is certain for us because the electorate are already wise about the difference between deceits and reality.

Having failed to assemble educated people, the Accord Party-led state government is bound to suffer the ignominy of such poor enthusiasm for knowledge because no any reasonable government institution no matter how small will not be able to differentiate between the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy from the Independent National Electoral Commission. Different laws create them and how a minister can transfer a personnel of the institution remains a big puzzle that only the low thinking Accord Party in the state can answer.

It is worrisome when someone who is supposed to know is exhibiting crass ignorance to the consternation of the right-thinking members of the society.

We are not unaware of the fact that the embattled state lawmakers are laying a foundation for the imminent loss of their governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke under the auspices of the unpopular and relatively unknown Accord Party in the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 governorship election.

The unsubstantiated allegation of the Osun State House of Assembly members led by Egbedun, that the leader of our party, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, is responsible for the posting of the staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) out of the state is baseless, frivolous, fabricated and cannot be supported by empirical evidence as it is an elementary principle of law that whoever alleges must prove.

The unsubstantiated allegation of the unproductive Egbedun-led Osun State House of Assembly should be disregarded and classified as a mere ranting of a busy body desperately looking for attention in order to impress their bosses at the Ede country home.

Talk indeed is cheap. The frivolous allegation against our state party leader is balderdash and an indication of political functionaries who are pungently in a panic mode for the fear of the imminent loss of the forthcoming governorship election.

Alhaji Oyetola’s priority as the state leader of our party like all other members and supporters of our party is to continue to work assiduously and conscientiously, within the purview of the law, for the electoral victory of our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji(AMBO), who will subsequently send Governor Adeleke back to Ede, his country home, through the 15th August, 2026 governorship election.

It is obvious that the Osun State House of Assembly is not busy as it has turned itself to the appendage of the sinking Governor Adeleke-led administration which ideally would not have time for such frivolity in another clime that the lawmakers are engrossed in the real business of lawmaking instead of parodying the directive of their embattled boss.
