NIGERIANS REJECT ADC’S 10K NAIRA, AFFIRM FAITH IN APC’S LEADERSHIP
The gang of stranded politicians struggling to find succour in a discredited and rudderless African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been met with huge rejection by Nigerians even after they allegedly offered Ten Thousand Naira to each protester with buses provided to convey the protesters to the Abuja venue of the protest.
The ADC promoters which include former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar, former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso and renowned coup plotter and anti-democratic agent, who is desperately seeking new political relevance by trying to sneak through the backdoor to obtain recognition as the National Chairman of the Party, are said to be parading the Federal Capital Territory with a very scant crowd consisting mostly of their personal aides and a few members of the derecognised members of the ADC leadership.
It is alleged that the ADC faction had in the past few days, made efforts to mobilise Nigerians to participate in the planned protest but they met a stonewall of rejection from youths who did not hide their repulsion at the uninspiring movement that the group had struggled to mobilise.
A youth mobilizer in the FCT who does not want his name mentioned revealed how he was approached with a huge sum of money to help the group to mobilise protesters, but after collecting the money, he couldn’t get up to 100 people who were ready to participate in the protest.
“I have been in the business of crowd hiring for many years now, and people, especially, politicians of all divides know me well and would always come to me whenever they need a crowd for their political activity. But, this is the first time I am failing to mobilise enough people for my clients, because the youths rejected the 10,000 Naira offer they budgeted for each person, because they feel that the same people calling for this protest are the same people who participated in the destruction of Nigeria.”
While the leaders of this protest, including, the LP presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, had billed the protest as a mother of all protests, aimed at hand twisting INEC to do the wrong thing by disobeying a clear court order, Nigerians are wiser and have refused to support any activity that would promote lawlessness and undemocratic agenda.
