Idahagbon Reaffirms Commitment to Public Service Reform and Renewed Hope Agenda

The Member of the Federal Civil Service Commission representing Edo, Ekiti and Ondo States has expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Senate for acting in the spirit of elder statesmanship.

Hon. Williams Henry Omoregie Idahagbon promised to sustain President Bola Tinubu’s vision of building a competent, professional, development-oriented, public-spirited and customer-friendly civil service that is capable of responding speedily to the needs of the society through a competitive, well-remunerated and motivated workforce.

He maintained that a heavy responsibility rests on the civil service to assist government in the urgent implementation of its policies and programmes. As a mobile archives, he pledged to continue to work closely with other members of the Commission to enrich the service with their collective experience. Now, like never before, Nigeria now have a modern, efficient and effective public service that is people oriented, innovative and productive public service that can now forge constructive partnership as a virile partner and an effective organ in the implementation of policies and programmes of government.

In a statement issued through his media aide, Hon. Idahagbon appealed to members of the public not to “midwife” a society that always trims its sails to prevailing winds. Instead, he urged citizens to cultivate an appetite for responsibility, reminding everyone that it is never too late to become what we ought to be. He called on the strong to lift up the weak rather than trample on them, and invited all Nigerians to join in building a more just and responsible society.
