How Police Investigation Uncovered Conspiracy Of A Rapist Father Who Defiled Daughter And Attempted To Implicate Innocent Persons In Delta
By Patrick Ochei The State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID) of the Delta State Police Command, has uncovered very heinous crime of a father who is in the business of serial raping his daughter and usually frames people with the intention of making money out of them. This conspiracy has been going on for sometime until this recent incident at a hotel in Issele-Uku, Delta State, as confirmed by the man’s nine year old daughter to the police investigative team. Our medium has been working on this report and can authoritatively confirm that the police has obtained evidence from the man’s nine year old daughter, who has already been handed over to the Delta State Child Rights Implementation Committee under the State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, while the man is in custody. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe while confirming the testimony of the child at the Command, said what was left is to extract a comprehensive medical report of the girl. However, our source could confirm that the initial medical examination, carried out on the girl at the Onicha-Uku General Hospital by the Issele-Uku Police Division, confirmed very deep penetration into the girl with traces of sperm discovered.Speaking with the State Chairman of the Delta State Child Rights Implementation Committee and Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Mrs. Oghenekevwe Agas, she confirmed the police had handed over the child to the Ministry. She however assured that, the Committee would carry on from there by taking the child to the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) at the Asaba Specialist Hospital for further medical evaluation, to enable the Committee prosecute according to the Delta State Child Rights Law of 2008 (as amended). It was gathered that the man, identified as Mr. Paul and suspected to be from Okpanam had come into Issele-Uku on this fateful day, where he lodged at the Cosmos Hotel in Issele-Uku.On the second day, he told the hotel staff that he was attending his mother’s remembrance at Idumuje-Unor but didn’t want to go with the daughter whom he lodged with the previous night. He pleaded with the female receptionist to take care of his daughter until he returns, which the lady innocently obliged him. On his return that evening, Saturday 3rd January, 2025, his daughter was handed over to him and he thanked them and checked out, only to return to the hotel the next morning, Sunday 4th January, 2025, with police, claiming that the daughter was raped in the hotel in his absence. That was how the receptionist, the manager and two lodgers were arrested by officers from the Issele-Uku Police Divisional Headquarters, over claims by the girl that she was forcefully raped at the hotel; thereby prompting the police to take her to a government hospital around for medical examination which came back positive.Whilst the suspects were being interrogated, the manager of the hotel, Mr. Osita Morris who wasn’t even around that fateful day, asked if further investigation could be done on the sperm to find out the actual culprit of the rape.As the police was still processing the case, the manager of the hotel was released on bail through the intervention of some individual, because according to report, he was not at the hotel at the time of the incident, and he needed to go back to organize his office for the day.Meanwhile, it was gathered that the release of the manager infuriated the girl’s father who insisted that the matter be transfered to the State Command. That was how all that were initially arrested were taken to the SCID in Asaba for further investigation. At Asaba, the matter took a new turn as investigators separated the child from the father and carefully interrogated her on what happened. It was there and then that the girl started crying. She said that the mother was no longer with the father and that the father had been defiling her for a long time. She alleged that he takes her to different hotels to lodge and after taking advantage of her, he would arrest people around claiming they had raped his daughter. The girl allegedly claimed that she was threatened not to ever say the truth, otherwise she would be killed. This criminal tendency has been going on and victims of this heinous conspiracy had been settling the man with huge sums of cash to avoid going to jail for rape, according to the alleged testimony of the girl.In a nutshell from our investigation, the man has been arrested and the daughter handed over to the Ministry of Women Affairs while the innocent victims of his criminal conspiracy had been freed to go home.
