In line with its commitment to developing and promoting sports in the state, Governor Douye Diri has taken bold steps to upgrade the sports infrastructure. The ultra-modern FIFA-standard stadium is set to become the jewel in the crown of this effort.

Since the commencement of the stadium project, significant progress has been made, thanks to the commitment and dedication of the construction team.
When this project is completed it will house the state-of-the-art video assistant referee (VAR) facilities, ensuring that the stadium meets FIFA standards, swimming and diving pools, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, as well as the table tennis hall.
In addition, eight other halls for various sports will be constructed to accommodate a wide range of activities and events.
Furthermore, the stadium will be equipped with modern amenities, including accessibility features for people with disabilities, making it inclusive and welcoming to all.
The completion of the ultra-modern stadium will have a significant impact on the state’s economy and social development. It is expected to attract national and international sporting events, generating revenue and boosting tourism in the state.
