Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has warned all political appointees against nocturnal political meetings ahead of 2027 general elections.

The governor who said the act is capable of heating up the polity, warned that those found culpable will be sacked.

The governor advised appointee to refrain from making, social media, radio and public statements on who holds any office ahead of 2027, threatening to wield the big stick.

He advised any of the political appointees interested in promoting discussions on zoning of positions ahead of 2027 should resign.

Governor Diri also urged non-appointees to look for other economic means to attract development to the State rather than engaging in social discussions capable of heating up polity.

His words “This is clarion call and warning particularly to my appointees at all level to be very serious about it; Government is a serious business and it must be taken very seriously“.
