The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Edo State Chapter, has presented its Diamond Jubilee National Award to the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, in recognition of his significant contributions to sports development in Nigeria.




At the ceremony in Benin City, Chapter Chairman Comrade Kehinde Osagiede praised Enabulele for his sustained efforts in building sporting structures that continue to produce excellence both in Edo and beyond.
Through his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele dedicated the award to Governor Monday Okpebholo, highlighting the Governor’s vision and investment in sports as a key driver of the state’s success.
He also acknowledged the Commission’s management, staff, coaches, and athletes for their dedication, noting that the award reflects Edo’s teamwork and growing prominence in national sports.
The event was also attended by the Executive Director, Sports Development and Operations, Mrs. Sabina Chikere.
The SWAN Diamond Jubilee National Award, established to mark the Association’s 60th anniversary, honours Nigerians whose leadership and initiatives have advanced sports across the country.
Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele’s recognition adds to Edo State’s rising profile in Nigerian sports.
