Edo State Government Appeals For Community Support for Every Child
The Edo State Government, through the Ministry of Education, calls upon parents, guardians, Traditional rulers, neighbors, landlords, and civil organization to actively support every child in their area, even after school hours. It is imperative that these young individuals feel valued and protected in their homes and surrounding environments.
Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, the Commissioner for Education, emphasizes the importance of treating every child as if they were your own, a mindset that will significantly reduce instances of child abuse and maltreatment. He said that by fostering a caring environment, we can ensure a safer and more nurturing space for our children.
He said Governor Monday Okpebholo preaches love and support for all Edo children. His commitment to the welfare of the youth underscores that every child in Edo State, irrespective of their background, deserves protection and care.
