The Executive Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Goddey Obi Nzete alongside his entire administrative workforce on February 5, 2025, played host to the Auditor General of the Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Ukpaka Ikenna, and his team. The visit was part of the commission’s oversight function to assess completed and ongoing projects within the council headquarters.
In his welcome address, Hon. Nzete expressed his commitment to cooperating with the commission in ensuring efficient service delivery within the LGA. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to executing people-oriented projects that align with the government’s development agenda.
Mr. Ukpaka Ikenna, while speaking on behalf of the delegation, commended the chairman for his dedication to good governance and effective project implementation. He described Ndokwa West LGA as one of the best in the state, noting that the quality of work being executed was commendable.
The chairman further briefed the auditors on the council’s recently awarded contracts, emphasizing his administration’s transparency in project execution.
In his advisory remarks, the Auditor General stressed the importance of contractors adhering to established regulations to maintain high standards. He also urged the council to ensure strict supervision of all projects to prevent substandard service delivery.

The inspection tour covered the completed perimeter fencing and renovation/refurbishment of Ndokwa west Nursery and Primary School Utagba-ogbe and the ongoing gigantic Ulta-modern legislative building in the council’s secretariat as initiated by the Chief Obi Nzete, further reaffirming his administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
