The discussion touched on the urgent need for sustained efforts in the cleanup of oil-impacted areas, equitable infrastructure development, and the provision of opportunities that align with the aspirations of the Ogoni people.

President Tinubu, in his remarks, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusivity, development, and justice for all Nigerians. He expressed his resolve to not only address the environmental challenges in Ogoniland but also ensure that its people reap the benefits of the nation’s shared prosperity.

This engagement signals a new dawn of partnership between the federal government and the Ogoni people. The outcomes of this historic meeting hold the promise of lasting impact, as they aim to transform the narratives of neglect into stories of progress, empowerment, and environmental restoration.
