CONGRESS: APC STALWART ADVOCATES RETENTION OF PARTY STRUCTURES FOR COHESION AHEAD OF 2027
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer Emmanuel Afam Eboh, has advocated the retention of the party’s existing leadership structures, particularly in Delta state ,as a strategic move to consolidate unity, stability and growth ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement in Asaba, Chief Eboh said sustaining the current party structures at the ward, local government and state levels is imperative, noting that the elected executives have demonstrated uncommon dedication, selflessness, and discipline in steering the affairs of the party.

He noted that affirming the present executives during the forthcoming APC congresses would serve as both encouragement and recognition of what he described as their “unwavering loyalty and support” to the administration of President Bola Tinubu since his election in 2023.
According to Eboh, the substantive party executives remain firmly committed to mobilising support for the re-election of President Tinubu as well as Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, in the 2027 polls, adding that continuity would strengthen their resolve and effectiveness.
The call for stability, he explained, “aligns with the position of President Tinubu, the party’s national leader, who has repeatedly acknowledged that the existing APC structures constitute the party’s backbone” describing them as its “landlords and frontrunners.”
Chief Eboh further observed that many long-serving party executives are yet to fully enjoy the dividends of their years of sacrifice and loyalty, either at the federal or state levels. He therefore urged greater patronage and inclusion, noting that such recognition would engender a deeper sense of fulfilment, unity, and collective ownership within the party.
With the 2027 election cycle drawing closer, the APC stalwart cautioned that replacing the party’s leadership could prove counterproductive. He advised that deliberate steps must be taken to ensure that party faithful are not left disillusioned and vulnerable to inducement by opposition forces.
Chief Eboh commended the existing synergy between the APC leadership, the federal government and the state administration, expressing confidence that the party’s candidates at all levels would record resounding victories in the 2027 general elections.
