…Says Bayelsa Youth will not vote based on tribe, ethnicity or LGA, but on proven individual Capacity, Quality, Credibility & Youth Friendliness, just like Gov.Diri.
The Prosperity Youths Coalition has again commended the developmental strides of the Gov. Douye Diri led Prosperity administration in Bayelsa State. The group describes the achievements of the governor as verifiable and relates to the very essential needs of the people of the state.
The group’s opinion on the government were made by its Secretary General Ayebakuro Igbeta Esq. in an interview with newsmen at the sidelines of the ground breaking ceremony for a new Twenty-five Thousand capacity stadium at Igbogene by His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri.
Igbeta remarked that the high point of the 5th Year anniversary celebration is the commissioning of people oriented projects, and the initiative of a new stadium is in recognition of the abundant sporting potentials and talents of youths of the state. The Senr-Comr Doubara led youth group expressed its opinion that the workings of the governor in these past 5years has no doubt placed the People’s Democratic Party on the path of victory as questions of a worthy successor begins to build in the minds of Bayelsans.
However, Igbeta quoting His Excellency the Governor when he states that by what God has used the administration to accomplish political power now truly lies with the Youths who must use their own descrition to drive onward and steady development of the state by standing by the democratic principle of one-man-one-vote, Igbeta therefore calls on Bayelsa youths to rally round leaders who have the right modicum of aptitude, maturity, empathy and courage to take on the baton of leadership to serve as it were the interest of Bayelsa, the scribe enjoins youths to look beyond such baseless and counter productive standards as tribal sentiments, political affiliations and a zoning formula if it does not project the greatest happiness of the greater number.
The PYC called Youths and all Bayelsans to be mindful of some off and on politicians who come in season and disappear after misleading sections of the state and causing unnecessary tensions here and there, believing that people are wiser these days. The PYC further reiterated the Governor’s charge to the people to never refuse the huge monies these off and on political leaders would bring in the wake of the electioneering season, the charge is take their money and vote your conscience, everyone know the party that has remained and maintained a steady accord with Bayelsans and that party is the PDP, the umbrella is still very large enough to accommodate all Bayelsans.
