South South Community Pass Vote of Confidence on Governor Umo Eno

The people of South South Community in the Federal Capital Territory under the aegis of South South Community FCT have passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno for his visionary leadership and selfless service to Akwa Ibom State in particular and the South South region in general.

The President Amb. Dickson Omoregie in the company of Executive and Stakeholders of the Association during a courtesy visit on the Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization Abuja, Comrade Kingsley Iwok handed down the vote of confidence given the monumental accomplishments of the Governor within the short time in office. He commended past administrations and the present Governor for their giant stripes without hypes.

Omoregie reiterated the Association’s readiness to collaborate and partner the Akwa Ibom State Governor and other leaders with a view to engendering a new South South region. He therefore appealed to the governors to pull synergy together and ensure even development of their people and the region.

He called on the Governors to ensure adequate mobilization of their people in the FCT during the forthcoming voters registration and national census exercises saying it’s positive effects on the region cannot be overemphasized.

He appealed to the Governors and other critical stakeholders in the region to collaborate and support the Association to achieve it’s aims and objectives for the betterment of all

Responding, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization Abuja, Comrade Kingsley Iwok thanked the president of the South South Community FCT and his entourage for the visit and assured the Association of the governor’s renewed commitment to the general well-being of the Akwa Ibomites at home and in Diaspora especially as witnessed in his just two years in office.

He commended the leadership qualities of Omoregie and charge him to remain steadfast in his determination to unite and promote the welfare of the people of the South South community in FCT
Highpoint of the meeting was a visit to the Permanent Secretary and other government officials present within the office.
