Today, 12th August 2025 marking the International Youth Day Celebration,

The Youth leadership of the South South Community, Abuja FCT, while commending and appreciating the administration of H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for its youth friendly educational, Agricultural, technological and empowerment Initiatives, reiterates the need for conscious & deliberate security measures to be put in place to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians across the country.

The Youth Leader, Comr. Olali I. Henry further encouraged the federal government to seek mediums to directly empower the youths of the South south region, stating that although the government has rolled out various schemes, however, relevant data indicates that the impact rarely gets to those who truly deserve it, in the grassroots.

He took the opportunity to lend a voice in the inhumane treatment meted to miss comfort (a Nigerian youth) by the ibom air crew & the airport security, stating that such disregard for human rights should be discouraged to the barest minimum, including sanctions & possible dismissal of security agencies and public service providers who engage in such acts .

The Youth Leader took the time to appreciate the leadership of the South south community Abuja, headed by Amb. Dickson Omoriege, the BOT chairman , Sir Mike Mbama Okiro (former IGP Rtd) Governors, liaison officers, S.As etc to all the governors of the 6 states of the South south region for their dedication and developmental strides in their various states.

2027 elections are by the corner, he therefore encouraged the millions of south south indigents resident in the FCT & Northern Nigeria to support the candidate capable of transforming the nation.

Happy International Youth Day!

Olali I. Henry
(Youth Leader, South South Community, Abuja)
