Senator Eshilokun Congratulates Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila On Her Honorary Doctorate Degree Award By Summit University Offa
Distinguished Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun has sent warm congratulatory message to the Political Matriarch of Surulere, Alhaja Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila, an eminent nonagenarian and mother of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, on the conferment of honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc. Honoris Causa) in Business Administration on her by Summit University, Offa, Kwara State.
The Senator also rejoice with Mama Gbajabiamila as the University names its proposed College of Nursing in her honour, describing this commendable decision by Summit University as a fitting tribute to a worthy professional nurse who devoted her public life to service of humanity.
According to him, Alhaja Gbajabiamila deserves all honour that could come her way, having blazed the trail as the first female Chairman of a local government in Lagos State, when she got elected as Surulere Chairman; and has remained a revered political leader since.
Senator Eshilokun, while rejoicing with her and her family on this momentous occasion, prayed that God grants her longevity and good health to enjoy the rest of her life.
