In pursuance of  peace, tranquility and orderliness before, during and after the forthcoming general elections  of the apex body of the Ukwuani people of Delta State (Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU)  this February, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Ogbuiji Elvis Kaine Eneduwe has charged  indigenes of Ndokwa Nation to indicate interest for expression of intent to contest for the various leadership positions in order to contribute their quotas in the socio-poilitical, economic and cultural advancement of the area.
 Ogbuiji Kaine made the call in his statements to journalists during a news interview in Kwale. He  tasked the prospective candidates (Contestants) and  voters delegates to conduct themselves in line with the Constitution of the  Union, as well as the  stipulated rules and  regulations guiding the Union  elections. 

While emphasizing the importance of peaceful and secured atmosphere throughout the period of their campaigns and election proper, the Electoral Committee Chairman requested the contestants and their followers to shun all forms of statements, movements and actions that could lead to chaos, violence and crisis throughout the exercise, adding that the closing date for collection of nomination forms had been extended from January 15th to January 20th 2025.
Chief Kaine further advised the various contestants to embark on Community-to- Community Campaign tours of Ndokwa Nation to showcase thenselves and their manifestos to the people and assured Ndokwa people, particularly the contestants, of level playing ground for the elections, noting that his Electoral committee comprised of members with track records of inttergrity, honesty and probity devoid of questionable characters that would guarantee transparency for free, fair and acceptable results of the proposed elections.
He used the forum to thank God for lifting Ndokwa people across 2024 into 2025.
