The Director-General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe , once again congratulates Sen. Ighoyota Amori, Ph.D., on his well-deserved appointment as Chief Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State..
During a courtesy visit to Chief Amori’s office, Dr Oghenesivbe led the management team of the Orientation Bureau to discuss the state government’s policies, programs, and achievements. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the Chief Adviser’s office and the Orientation Bureau.
Chief Amori emphasized the importance of his office in providing well-researched advice to the Governor. He encouraged stakeholders to view his office as a valuable link to the government, ensuring government initiatives reach every corner of the state.
Senator Amori noted that his appointment didn’t come as a surprise, given his extensive experience in serving the party and the state in various capacities, including as a member of the PDP, member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the PDP, and the Board of Governors. He commended Dr. Oghenesivbe for leading the successful “Drug Free Delta Campaign” and urged him to continue the campaign, emphasizing the importance of staying away from hard drugs due to their adverse effects on overall health.
Chief Amori advised young people to stay far from drugs, warning that they might enjoy the temporary feeling of euphoria but face dire consequences in the future. He emphasized that the “Drug Free Delta Campaign” is a laudable initiative that requires collective effort to succeed. He encouraged parents, guardians, and community leaders to join hands with the government to educate and sensitize the youth on the dangers of drug abuse.
Dr. Oghenesivbe acknowledged Chief Amori’s significant impact on his successes and thanked him for his ongoing contributions. The Director-General expressed confidence in the Chief Adviser’s office to assist the Governor in achieving the state government’s goals.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for Dr. Oghenesivbe to brief Chief Amori on the Bureau’s upcoming initiatives, including the “Delta Value Charter” designed to create a value chain for all Deltans and elevate the state. Chief Amori expressed strong support for the initiative and pledged to work closely with the Bureau to ensure its success.
