The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, along with the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Alabo Hon. Boma Iyaye, and the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, met with a delegation from KPMG at the Commission’s Headquarters in Port Harcourt. During the meeting, Dr Ogbuku emphasised that the KPMG Governance Advisory Report will be crucial for the Commission’s transition from a Transaction to a Transformation policy.

Dr. Ogbuku stated, “Once adopted by the board, this report will act as a guide. Once approved, it will become a policy statement that every directorate and department within the NDDC can utilise. I assure you that we will strictly adhere to it during the implementation stage. This document arrives at the perfect time, as the NDDC now has a functional budget.”
The NDDC leadership believes the report will provide valuable advisory services regarding global best practices, corporate governance culture, and internal processes. Dr. Ogbuku noted that the KPMG governance structure report aims to strengthen the Commission by enhancing its internal processes, ensuring accountability, and promoting transparency.
