The Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe has charged pupils and students of the state origin to go back to their schools with the resolve to pay more serious attention to studies, instead of loitering about in the streets.
Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe in a press statement endorsed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Uwa, cautioned lmo students and pupils that the only way they could adequately appreciate efforts by their parents and guardians to make them self-reliant in the future is by ignoring pleasure-offering life style and abiding by commitment to serious studies.
According to Chike Olemgbe, the only way to becoming real and comfortable adults and leaders of tomorrow is by demonstrating commitment to educational pursuits or learning trades that could guarantee a better future.
The Number One lawmaker in Imo state charged all children and youths in Imo State extraction system, to aim at the highest level of education or in the alternative, learning trades that would make them providers of jobs, instead of chronic job seekers.
Chike Olemgbe posited that once a child or youth is determined to learn by way of formal education or useful trade such as carpentry, auto mobile maintenance service, plumbing works, electric and electric installation service, shoe-making, tailoring, etc, the future of that child is guaranteed as he or she would never lack the basic necessities of life.
Speaker Chike Olemgbe further, charged students and pupils to embrace Governor Hope Uzodimma’s various youths development and empowerment programmes to make themselves comfortable leaders of tomorrow.
