AS AN INCORRUPTIBLE TECHNOCRAT TAKES OVER IMO LAND MINISTRY

After months of painstaking reforms, directly superintended by him, the governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, has finally appointed one of his most trusted political progenies, who is one of the most experienced and trusted hands in land administration and management as the Commissioner for Lands.

The governor took over the direct supervision of the land ministry in the State following a series of complaints and suspicious activities from some individuals, with a view to sanitising the sector and restoring public confidence in the land administration, management and marketing in the State.

Having conclusively cleaned up the observed incongruities in the ministry and articulated a blueprint that aligns with international standards, the governor’s former Chief Political Adviser and Special Adviser on Lands, Barrister Enyinnaya Onuegbu has been charged with sustaining this blueprint in the ministry.

In cognizance of Imo’s position as one of the fastest developing States in the country, and its capital, Owerri, as the epicentre of tourism and hospitality, the governor has been deliberate in fostering transparency, integrity and due process in the processes of land allocation, documentation, development and management, in order to boost real estate development in the State and ensure that every Imolite and other investors from outside and within the State are able to transact their businesses, legally, and without the fear of endangering their capital.

Meantime, real estate titans and professional town planners, surveyors and estate managers have commended the governor’s vision for the sector and expressed their confidence in the competence and reliability of the new Commissioner for Lands. They have assured of their readiness to support the government in its vision to revive and better regulate the sector.

IMO IS WINNING!
