Nasarawa state Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule Saturday in Lagos met with officials of JBS S.A, a Brazilian company founded in 1953 with headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil.

JBS SA is recognized as the world largest producer of protein products and reported to supply 50 percent of the beef consumed in the USA.

Governor Sule is one of the only three governors invited to the dinner meeting based on Nasarawa state’s track record in agricultural production.

The Brazilian company has indicated interest in establishing 6 meat processing facilities in the country and according to NIPC a letter of intent has been signed.

The factories will comprise three poultries, two cattle plants and one swine facility.

The convivial meeting held at the Eko Atlantic attracted top notch investors, Captains of Industries, Legislators, and other top government officials.

Speaking after the meeting Governor Abdullahi Sule said “Our dear Nasarawa is open to partnership with genuine investors from across the globe in order to bring development, wealth and prosperity to our people”.

Nasarawa State has continued to attract accolades for its giant strides especially in agriculture, mining, infrastructure development and Human Capital development with its Skills acquisition centre ranked one of the best in the country.

The JBS SA delegation has expressed strong interest to visit Nasarawa State soon.
