Across the globe, the demand for meaningful youth inclusion and empowerment has grown louder, more urgent, and more necessary. Yet in Nasarawa State, this call has already found a powerful and visionary response in the person of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, an exceptional leader who has made the empowerment of young people not just a goal, but a legacy in motion.
Governor Sule has demonstrated beyond any doubt that empowering the youth is central to building a prosperous, inclusive, and secure future for Nasarawa State. From skills acquisition schemes and digital literacy programmes to agribusiness support and innovation support, the Governor has opened doors for young men and women to find purpose, build livelihoods, and become self-reliant. These initiatives are not only tackling unemployment but also inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, and problem-solvers.
One of the most commendable aspects of Governor Sule’s leadership is his commitment to youth inclusion in governance. He has set a new precedent by appointing young, credible, and competent individuals to key positions in government, giving them the opportunity to serve, learn, and lead. Through this, he has given practical expression to the belief that youth are not just leaders of tomorrow, but partners in progress today.
Indeed, Governor Sule has brought young people from the sidelines to the centre of politics and governance in Nasarawa State. He has allowed them to showcase their capabilities, take up leadership roles, and contribute to shaping policies that affect their lives and communities.
As Special Assistant to the governor on Youth Development, I have witnessed firsthand the sincerity of His Excellency’s commitment to building a generation that is productive, empowered, and confident in its own potential. His faith in the youth is inspiring, and his approach is visionary.
On behalf of the youth of Nasarawa State, I extend deep appreciation to His Excellency for his outstanding contributions to youth empowerment and inclusion.
