Emperor Jarret Tenebe, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has urged security agencies, including the Police, DSS, and Nigeria Army, to be vigilant and take necessary measures to prevent a potential disruption of the Attorney General’s Office by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Asue Ighodalo.
The disruption allegedly aims to influence the ongoing Edo State Governorship tribunal.
According to Tenebe, the PDP and Asue Ighodalo’s supporters plan to carry out this unlawful act on Tuesday, highlighting the need for the security agencies to be proactive in preventing this disruption. The APC chairman emphasized that the party will not tolerate any attempts to compromise the judicial process or disrupt peace.
This development comes amidst the ongoing Edo State Governorship tribunal, where the PDP and Asue Ighodalo are challenging the outcome of the governorship election.
The APC chairman has called on the security agencies to take this threat seriously and hold those responsible for this planned disruption accountable for their actions.
