ARISE Television anchor, Dr. Reuben Abati, has accepted an invitation from Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to inspect development projects across the state.

The governor had earlier invited Abati and his colleague, Rufai Oseni, for a guided tour of ongoing projects in Edo State.

Okpebholo extended the invitation while speaking in Benin City yesterday, during a defection rally where several chieftains of the Labour Party, PDP and ADC joined the APC.

The governor said he would personally drive the journalists around the state to showcase his administration’s development projects, adding that by the end of the visit they would be persuaded to campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

Reacting to the invitation on ARISE Television’s “What’s Trending” segment on Thursday, Dr. Abati said he was willing to visit Edo State but would await a formal invitation from the state government before making the trip.

The visit will afford the former Editorial Board Chairman of Guardian Newspaper gain firsthand insight into the development initiatives being undertaken by the Okpebholo administration.

It will be recalled that under Monday Okpebholo, Edo State has become a construction site, with several flagship projects currently being undertaken by the governor across the three senatorial districts.
