“The Masses’ Voice is Supreme”: NNU Launches 3-LGA Town Hall Tour to Shape Future of Ndokwa Nation

KWALE — The Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU, has announced a comprehensive series of Town Hall Meetings across the Ndokwa nation, in a move aimed at taking governance and development discussions directly to the grassroots.

Under the leadership of President General, Comrade Chief Amechi Asugwuni, the Union said the initiative themed “The Masses’ Voice is Supreme” will serve as an inclusive platform for citizens to influence policies and chart the collective future of the Ndokwa people.

In an official statement released on Tuesday and signed by the Office of the President General, the NNU described the town halls as “critical engagements” designed to connect leadership with communities “by the people, and for the people.”

Objectives and Focus
According to the Union, the meetings are built around three core objectives:

• Direct Engagement: Bringing NNU leadership on stage with community members for open dialogue
• Unified Development: Fostering collaboration to build a stronger and more prosperous Ndokwa nation
• Democratic Dialogue: Ensuring grassroots perspectives drive regional policies and actions

Schedule and Venues
The tour will cover the three LGAs that make up Ndokwa nation, with all sessions scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM.

The first meeting holds in Ukwuani LGA on Sunday, 16th August, 2026 at the Dorcas Event Center, Obiaruku.
The second is slated for Ndokwa West LGA on Sunday, 30th August, 2026 at Ndokwa House, Kwale.
The final meeting will take place in Ndokwa East LGA on Sunday, 6th September, 2026 at Ashaka Event Hall, Ashaka.

Who Should Attend
NNU said it expects broad representation from all sectors. Invited stakeholders include traditional rulers and palace chiefs, elected and appointed political officials, clan PGs, CDC chairmen, women and youth representatives, farmers, business leaders, craftsmen, professionals, and members of the general public.

Call to Action
“Be Part of the Conversation!” the statement urged.
“Come out to speak, listen, and build a better Ndokwa together. We stand united for development, driven by the people for Progress, Unity and a Greater Tomorrow.”

The announcement was made public by Surv. Dr. Eze Nathaniel OSSAI, Assistant Publicity Secretary of NNU.

Community leaders across Ndokwa have welcomed the initiative, noting that direct engagement at the LGA level could help address long-standing development concerns and strengthen unity within the nation.
