Abuja -Akwanga- Lafia high way, night mere for mararaba and the other road user’s.

Mararaba is a semi urban Community situated in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.
North Central Nigeria.

Mararaba shared a common boundary with Nyanya a satellite town in the federal capital territory Abuja.

Mararaba is a dense populated community with the approximate population of over 256,800 according to National Population Commission 2006 census.

In Mararaba aside the the original inhabitants, that’s the gbagy and Gwandara ethnic group, you have other Nigeria ethnic groups like the Igbo’s, Hausa’s, Yoruba’s, Idoma’s, Igala’s, Fulani’s, Nupe’s, Gade, Mada, Kanuri’s and other ethnic nationality and foreigner’s alike.

One good thing about mararaba is that once you are leaving in Mararaba you are considered among those leaving in the federal capital territory due to it proximity to Abuja and mararaba is a home for average and low income earners.

Another popular thing about mararaba again is the usual traffic gridlock, to the extent that if you mentioned mararaba to many motorist and commuters in that axis what comes to their mind is holdup.

If you are leaving in Mararaba and your work place is in the federal capital territory Abuja, then you have to wake up around 3-4:am to be able you to bit up the daily traffic gridlock.

But the common question in the lips of everyone who experience’s this annoying and unmerciful daily gridlock is, what actually is the course of this daily horrible experience and can’t the Federal Government and Nasarawa state Government solve this every day long traffic experience by both the reach and the poor alike.

Though the duallization of the ever busy Abuja – Lafia high way is currently on going, but the more effort is been make to reduced the traffic the more ticker the traffic gridlock become.

But the general analysis of the every day heavy traffic gridlock observed, that the route course of the daily gridlock on the ever busy high way is the lack of a proper bus stop for dropping and picking up of passengers, petty traders displaying their Ware on the top of the road, Okada Ridders parking their machines on top of the road while waiting for their passengers etc.

Now going by the analysis findings, if the course of the gridlock is actually all this mentioned by the analyst.
Then the Federal Government and Nasarawa state Government should do the needful by employing legitimate state authority to eliminate the sufferings of the road user’s along ever busy Abuja -Akwnga- Lafia high way.
