UGHELLI COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, OLOROGUN JARO EGBO WELCOMES THE NEWLY POSTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF AMPHIBIOUS BATTALION TO UGHELLI NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL.

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Barr. Jaro Movudu Egbo, KSC, received the Commanding Officer, 181 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army Command, Agbon Sub-Zone, Lieutenant Colonel, NP Ochasi to his office for a courtesy visit. He was accompanied by the commanding Officer of the Operation Delta Sweep, Ughelli North/ South Zone, Major Babayemi.

While addressing the Council Chairman, Lieutenant Colonel Ochisa emphasized that his primary objective is to acquaint himself with the Council Chairman, with the singular aim of fostering a harmonious relationship to ensure effective security within the local government area. He commended the Chairman for his support of the personnel stationed in Ughelli North and pledged to prioritize the lives and safety of the residents of Ughelli North.

In response, Barr. Jaro Egbo formally welcomed the Commanding Officer and his team to his office. He praised the Commanding Officer for his efforts in maintaining peace and safety among his constituents through his team and encouraged him to continue his commendable work.

He utilized the medium to inform the Commanding Officer regarding the activities of herdsmen operating within the Ohoro / Agadama Axis of the local government. These activities have unfortunately led to the loss of lives, prompting a request for their intervention to restore peace to the area.

The Chairman, pledged his unwavering support and collaboration with all the security operatives operating within the local government area to ensure the safety of the lives and properties of residents of his mandate area..

The visit’s highlights included the formal presentation of a gift to the visitors, demonstrating the love, trust, and respect that the council chairman holds for the 181 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army formation, Agbon Sub-zone.
