…as 300 Women Go Home With N80,000 Each

It Was An Expression Of What Genuine Economic Empowerment Should Be At The Orlu Local Government Headquarters On Friday, December, 6th 2024 As The Executive Chairman Of The Council, HON. PASTOR CHRIS MBARIE Gave Out Millions Of Naira In Cash To The First Batch Of The Already Registered Thousands Of Indigent Women From The Area.

Friday’s Cash Empowerment Went To An Initial Three Hundred (300) Women Who Went Home With The Sum Of Eighty Thousand Naira (N80,000) Each, (NOT N100,000 AS WAS EARLIER REPORTED), Courtesy Of The Executive Chairman.

This Is Coming In Less Than Two Months Of His Administration As The Executive Chairman Of The Council.

MBARIE Told The Highly Delighted Women That It Was His Fulfilment Of His Promise To Them While Campaigning That His Administration Would Start From Them.

“At The Heat Of The Security Crises That Befell Our Area, It Was The Women And Children That Bore The Pains Of Staying Behind And Taking Care Of The Children. The Men Fled. So, During My Campaign, I Promised Myself That My Government Would Start Our Empowerment Program From Them.

“So, Through The Support And Magnanimity Of His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma, The Executive Governor Of Imo State Who Made It Possible For Me To Be Your Chairman Today, I’ve Come To Fulfill That Promise”, MBARIE Said.

He Said The Exercise Would Be Continues And In Batches Until All The Registered And Yet To Be Registered Women Drawn From The Thirteen Wards Of The Council Are Empowered To Start Or Support Their Petty Businesses.

Pastor Chris Mbarie Was Accompanied By His Deputy Chairman, Chief Ethelbert NWANEBO And Their Wives.
