UGHELLI NORTH LEGISLATIVE HOUSE RESUMES PLENARY SESSION FOR THE YEAR 2026..

.. Passed Vote of Confidence on President Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for their exemplary leadership and Performance.

The Ughelli North Local Government Legislative House (8th Assembly), under the leadership of Rt Hon Ajero Okeoghene Prosper, commenced its legislative plenary session to signify the official resumption of legislative activities for the year 2026.

During the plenary session, the Leader, Rt Hon Ajero Proper, formally welcomed the councilors back from the festive celebrations and encouraged them to ready themselves for the legislative activities planned for the year. Furthermore, the Leader urged the councillors to consistently prioritize the interests of their constituents above any personal interest, he emphasizes that each councillor was elected to serve by facilitating development within the respective state wards they represent..

The highlight of the session was a motion for a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, recognizing their exemplary leadership and contributions to infrastructural development throughout the state, particularly for facilitating laudable projects in Ughelli North local government area. This motion was moved by the Deputy Leader of the House, Rt Hon (Chief) Florence Ediruo, and seconded by Hon Orido December, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Legislative House. It was unanimously adopted by all members present.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from the councilors, who pledged to collaborate with the Executive arm of the government to deliver greater benefits to the people of Ughelli North in this new year.
