The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos (CEM) invited registered associations in the Council area in the spirit of increasing the internally generated revenue (IGR) to enable the Council to have more funds to provide essential amenities for the betterment of the citizens of Ese-Odo.
Chairman Molos emphasized that as a government, they can’t afford to solely depend on the federal government monthly allocation, if we want to provide meaningful growth and development for the people.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Chairman of Arogbo Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Hon. Samuel Jemi, Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Mr. Egbukuyomi Fidelis Ola, the Leader of Council, Rt. Hon. Elijah Jeremiah, Deputy Leader of Council, Hon. Perry Ofoetitan, the Head of Local Government Administration(HOLGA), Mr. Kutelu Olumide, the Director, Finance and Supplies(DFS), Mr. Olarewaju Adeyemi S., the Director of General Services and administration(DGSA), Barr. Johnolt Ebipatei, and other top government functionaries were in attendance.
Some of the registered associations that were represented in the meeting includes, Tailor association, Barbers association, Hair Dressers Association, Okada Riders Association, Boat/Canoe Association, Tipper/Dyna Association, Sand Dealers, Timber/Plank Dealers, Motor Operators, Ogogoro Dealers/ Sellers, Palm Kernels Buyers, Local Mill Owners, Welders and Medcine Sellers. The leaders and members of the various associations used the opportunity to express their challenges, and the listening Chairman promised to look into the challenges and give them lasting solutions.
The meeting, being first of its kind in the Council, initiated by the progress loving Comrade Chairman was a success, as all the associations unanimously concurred with the initiative and wish of the Chairman, and expressed their minds, and promised to abide by the standards of the Council and promised their continued support for the Molos led administration.
This meeting is an indication that the current administration in Ese-Odo Local Government Area meant well for the citizens.
