Inaugural Program
The Parliament Diary Dialogue inauguration took place on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Main Auditorium, Nigerian National Merit Award House, Abuja-Nigeria.
The program featured a keynote address by the Deputy Senate President and 1st Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, followed by a panel discussion on the theme “Coup d’etats and ECOWAS unity: The Role of National Assemblies.” The panel will include experts and representatives from the Nigeria National Assembly, the Government of Nigeria, the Government of France, the Nigeria Military, the ECOWAS Secretariat, the ECOWAS Parliament, and the Civil Society.
The event also included an award ceremony to recognize distinguished citizens, captains of industries, businesses, and organizations that have made significant contributions to the society and the practice of democracy.
