The Deputy Governor of Delta State HE Sir. Monday John Onyeme has charged indigenes of Ndokwa, particularly members of Odozi Ani/Ezinne Support Group to sustain their commitment and
support for the state government of People’s Democratic Party PDP and guard against the antics of opposition political parties occassioned by selfish interest. He however commended the people for their consistent folowership to the ruling party in the state and promised that 2025 would be more prosperous with more infrastructural and human capital development and other dividends of democracy.
Sir. Onyeme was addressing a crowd of members of the pressure support group at his Ibabu Country Home Ibabu-Onicha Ukwuani, Ndokwa West LGA. He recalled that Ndokwa had not had it so good in the past polity of the state, pointing out that Ndokwa currently holds the posts of Deputy Governor, Commissioner for Finance and DESOPADEC Managing Director among over hundred elected and appointed political office holders from the area. He re-affirmef that apart from Onicha Ukwuani /Utagba Uno, Utagba Uno/Ndemili, Inam Abbi/Abbi road projects and other critical infrastructural projects ongoing, many others were embedded into the state 2025 appropriation bill, which according to him, would form prime priority of the government next year. * So I want you to be patient with the state government because the future holds better opportunities* he noted.
While commending the leaders and members of the support group for keeping it afloat, the founder explained that it has taken much the nurse the group since 2014, asserting that it has created much positive impacts on the political advancement of Ndokwa people and pledged his continued commitment to the progress of the group as he request other Ndokwa elite to join hands for actualization of the lofty dream.
Earlier during the meeting, the Director General of the group Hon. Orji Augustine paid glowing tributes to the deputy governor and disclosed that he had single handedly funded the group since it was birthed ten years ago. He assured Sir Onyeme that all the members were intact with drastic hunt for more members. Hon. Orji explained further that the group had remained resolute in it’s partnership with PDP and Delta State government, saying that with the spread network of the group within Ndokwa, it would be difficult for opposition parties to penetrate and promised their redoubled commitement to the plights of the state government and PDP. The high point of the meeting was the distribution of loads of wraper donated to the group by one Mr Enebuse Paradise also known as PDP.
