Jaro Movudu Egbo, KSC, led the team of Ughelli North Council principal officers to pay Condolences to the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III (JP++), APJ over the unfortunate demise of his younger brother,

Prince Idjesa Oharisi, who was killed by suspected cultists last week in Ughelli. During the visit, Olorogun Jaro Egbo stated that the purpose of the visit was to express condolences to HRM Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III, the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, and to assure him that the government is actively addressing the situation to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.In a brief address to journalists, Olorogun Jaro Egbo reaffirmed his steadfast dedication to the security and safety of the residents of Ughelli North.

He expressed that the passing of Prince Idjesa Oharisi is indeed a very unfortunate and regrettable event. He urged all security agencies to intensify their efforts to ensure the apprehension of the perpetrators so they may be brought to justice.

Furthermore, he noted that several suspects have been detained since the incident occurred, and additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

The Chairman took the opportunity to clearly assert that there is no curfew in any part of Ughelli North. He cautioned those spreading false information to refrain from disseminating such misinformation regarding a curfew. He further clarified that no curfew has been declared in Ughelli by the Council, the king, or the State Governor.

“Let it be clear that i have inform all security agents that there is no curfew in Ughelli North, stating that there can’t be curfew without directive from my office or the office of the state Governor who is the chief security officer of the state, but that doesn’t equate to pardon for arms or drugs peddlers, as the security agency will continue to go after them to arrest those found wanting” The Chairman stated. The Council Boss, encouraged residents to continue their legitimate daily activities and advised against the harassment of law-abiding citizens engaged in their lawful pursuits. Furthermore, he urged security personnel to refrain from exploiting the situation by harassing, extorting, and arresting innocent citizens who are conducting their lawful activities.Those on the entourage of the Council Boss, includes; the Vice Chairman, Chief Mrs Meg Atano, Leader of the 8th Assembly, Rt Hon Okeoghene Ajero, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Pastor Irikefe Goodluck Unuavwarho, Head of Personnel Management of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Mrs Judith Tsola, Majority Leader of the Legislative House, Hon Ese Agbobore, Chief of staff to the Chairman, Prince Elvis Oharisi, Principal Secretary to the chairman, Olorogun Fidelis Erhiurhore, Officer in Charge of Peace and Security, Mr Godwin Onovweghware, SSA to the Chairman on Special Duty, Comrade Emuophedaro Igho. Others are, Hon Larry Idisi, Hon Onome Eshalomi, Barr Emmanuel Omovie, Head of Legal department of Ughelli North local government council, Chief MacPherson Igbedi, President General of Uwheru Kingdom, Chief Security officer to the chairman, Comrade Godfrey Esaida, Chief press secretary to the Chairman, Comrade Efe Ekete, and Mrs Anna Inana, PRO to Ughelli North Local Government council, among others.
