In a significant move to bolster healthcare delivery in Ndokwa West Local Government Area (NWLGA), the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. (Chief) Goddey Obi Nzete, has provided essential medical equipment to rural hospitals across the LGA. This initiative underscores his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services and ensuring that residents have access to quality medical care.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Frank Ikogwe – Supervisor for Health, praised the Chairman for his selflessness and unwavering dedication to the populace, highlighting the positive impact on the health sector. He also noted the gigantic infrastructural projects that has been embarked on by the council boss as evidence of his unparalleled dedication to productive leadership and judicious management of public funds.
Ms. Esther Okonkwo – HPM of the council expressed gratitude on behalf of the council staff, acknowledging Chief Nzete’s exceptional leadership and the tangible improvements in the LGA. She added that the activities of the chairman has in no doubt placed above his predecessors in the locality.
Mrs. Hope Izuegbu -Apex Nurse in the LGA voiced appreciation from all health workers, assuring that the equipment would be utilized effectively to enhance healthcare services in rural hospitals. She also expressed appreciation to the chairman for his dedication to his administrative responsibilities especially as it concerns improving the health sector.
In his remarks, Chief Obi Nzete emphasized that this initiative aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, reflecting a shared vision for comprehensive development across Delta State. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering the best for the people of Ndokwa West and hinted at more developmental projects in the pipeline. He also urged health department staff within his council to ensure the proper use and maintenance of the equipment to maximize their benefits.
