In a bid to ensure transparency, accountability, and due process in the award of contracts, the Executive Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Goddey Obi Nzete, has constituted and inaugurated the NWLGA Tender Board Committee. This strategic move is aimed at promoting fairness and efficiency in the procurement process, reflecting the council’s commitment to good governance and responsible leadership.
The Tender Board Committee is chaired by Hon. Chief (Dr.) Goddey Obi Nzete himself, with a team of distinguished members drawn from key departments and leadership positions within the council. The committee members are:
Vice Chairman – Hon. Margaret Chinwe Anowu
Supervisor for Education – Mr. Obi Elijah
Supervisor for Youth and Sports – Mr. Ojuyenum Chukwubueze
Supervisor for Agriculture – Mrs. Blessing Enugwu
Supervisor for Health – Mr. Ikogwe Frank
Supervisor for Environment – Mr. Onah Richardson
Head of Personnel Management (HPM) – Madam Esther Okonkwo
Principal Legal Officer (PLO) – Mr. Joseph Dibiagwu
Head of Works Department – Engr. Lucky Umukoro
The Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Mr. Sunday Enu, will serve as the Secretary of the Tender Board.
With this committee in place, all contractors who have tendered for jobs in the council are invited to witness the official opening of their tenders. This event is scheduled to take place on Monday, 16th December 2024, at 12:00 noon at the council’s secretariat. The presence of contractors is highly encouraged, as it underscores the council’s unwavering commitment to an open and participatory tendering process.
