GOVERNOR GODWIN OBASEKI OF EDO STATE HAS CELEBRATED THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF ETSAKO EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT

GOVERNOR GODWIN OBASEKI OF EDO STATE HAS CELEBRATED THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF ETSAKO EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT .

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has celebrated the Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh on her well-deserved recognition, nomination and Award in Enugu State as she received the prestigious Nigerian Leadership Awards in Grassroots Development organized under the Federal Government renewed Hope Agenda.

In an impressive congratulatory letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha and sighted by the media, Governor Godwin Obaseki said “Hon. (Princess) Benedicta has demonstrated a high level of commitment by her immense contribution to the growth and development of Etsako East Local Government and the State in general

He particularly noted that he was impressed by this feat and prayed that God empowers the Etsako East Council Boss to continue on this path of greatness he added.

The nomination for the Prestigious award was contained in two separate letters from the Presidency dated 28th March 2024 signed by Prince Paul Adekanye and another notification letter from the Edo State Ministry of Local Government, Community and Chieftaincy Affairs dated 15th April, 2024 and signed by the Permanent secretary of the Ministry, Felicia N. Edokpolor (Esq) informing the Chairman of a summit and her nomination for the Award.

Earlier, the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh, her Vice, Hon Sunday Igiefameh and the Secretary to the Council Hon. Agbugui actively participated in a 2 day Regional stakeholder summit on local government and rural development in Oaklands Hotels in Enugu State where the Etsako East Boss drew public attention to herself through her intellectual and remarkable contributions and questioning abnormalities in public administration and roles of stakeholders in strengthening good governance in Nigeria. Her contributions at the Enugu summit was said to have set a benchmark that stakeholders believe will reshape future summits.

It would be recalled that Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh was conferred with an Award of recognition by a Federal Institution few weeks ago as a Fellow and SDGs Champion of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Center for Sustainable Development, Effurun, Delta State, for commendable leadership roles in conquering difficult developmental challenges that have hitherto refused to bow to the efforts of previous administrators of the council particularly in areas of rural electrification, education, local markets reconstruction, opening up communities for commercial activities as well as her constant human resources development initiatives in ensuring that every Etsako East Youth have a skill.
