The immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has pledged his full support to the State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Gaza Gwamna, in his efforts to excel in the role.
Balarabe, accompanied by former Assembly members including Hon. Tanko Umar Tunga (now Commissioner for Land and Urban Development), Hon. Abdullahi Angibi, and Hon. Barr. Mohammed Alkali (both of whom represented Lafia Central and Lafia East in the 6th Assembly), paid a congratulatory visit to Dr. Gaza at his office in Lafia. The visit marked the celebration of Dr. Gaza’s reappointment and inauguration as Commissioner for Health.
During the visit, Balarabe expressed his gratitude to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for reappointing Dr. Gaza, acknowledging his significant contributions to the health sector under the current administration.
He described the visit as that of an elder brother checking on his younger brother, ensuring he was settling into his new role, and reaffirming his unwavering support for his success.
In response, Dr. Gaza Gwamna expressed deep appreciation to the former Speaker for his visit and continued support. He assured Balarabe and the people of Nasarawa State that he would continue to work towards improving healthcare services in the state.
Dr. Gaza thanked Balarabe for his consistent encouragement, both in words and deeds. He promised, “God willing,” to live up to the expectations of Governor Sule and the people of Nasarawa State.
He also requested people’s continued prayers and support to help him succeed in his role as Commissioner for Health.
