Effective governance is not only defined by policies and pronouncements but also by presence, accessibility and responsiveness to the people. At the core of grassroots development is the ability of leadership to remain connected to the communities they serve. This principle is reflected in the Chairman’s Lodge project across the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State under the leadership of Governor Umo Eno.

The Chairman’s Lodge initiative is a statewide infrastructure project designed to provide official residential accommodation for local government chairmen within their respective council areas. It is structured to support a system where leadership operates closer to the people, strengthening the link between governance and community needs.
