Are you a Nigerian citizen who is resident within Nigeria and abroad?

Do you have a legal problem that requires the services of a lawyer, such as landlord and tenant, administration of estate or wills, police station matter.

As long as you can show that your monthly income is less than the minimum wage of Nigeria (₦70,000), the Nigerian Law Society (NLS) can provide you with free virtual legal aid services.

We, the new Nigerian Law Society (NLS) are delighted to announce a discount arrangement for indigent law graduates and lawyers who cannot immediately afford the ₦2,000,000 fees for the Blue Silks rank of Senior Counsel of Nigeria-SCN.

After payment of the Blue Silks application fees of ₦500,000, such Blue Silks applicants can sign a bond to provide pro bono legal aid services under the Virtual Legal Aid Initiative of Nigeria (VLAIN). This volunteer position will last for one year in the first instance.

This is an initiative of the new Nigerian Law Society (NLS).
