APPMEN INAUGURATES LAGOS STATE COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 10 – APPOINTS PRINCESS AGBONIFO AS STATE COORDINATOR, ONOME NAOMI ONOJAEFE AS PUBLIC SECRETARY

Abuja, 30th September 2026, The National Secretariat of the Association of Proprietors of Private Media Establishment of Nigeria (APPMEN) has announced the appointment and official inauguration of its Lagos State Council.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 10th October, 2026 by 11am at No 133 Idimu Ejigbo Road Adjacent Christ Land School, Alimosho Lagos State.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Chief Precious Enebuse, the National Working Committee (NWC) after careful screening, has approved the appointment of:
1. Princess Agbonifo as Lagos State Coordinator of APPMEN
2. Onome Naomi Onojaefe as Public Secretary, APPMEN Lagos State Council
Princess Agbonifo, a seasoned media entrepreneur and proprietor of a private media establishment based in Lagos, will lead the Lagos State Council to coordinate affairs of private media owners in the state, drive membership, and protect the interests of private media establishments.
Onome Naomi Onojaefe, as Public Secretary, will serve as the official spokesperson and head of publicity and communications for the Lagos Council.
The statement added that other members of the State Executive Council will be announced and inaugurated on October 10.
Speaking on the appointments, Chief Enebuse said Lagos, as the media capital of Nigeria with over 60% of private media houses, requires experienced and capable hands to lead.
“Princess Agbonifo has shown capacity, commitment and leadership. We are confident she will deliver and build a formidable Lagos Council that will be the pride of APPMEN. Onome brings youthful energy and professionalism in public communication which Lagos needs,” he said.
The Oct 10 inauguration will also feature induction of new members, Private Media Owners operating in Lagos into APPMEN.
The National Coordinator will personally preside over the inauguration and will be accompanied by members of the National Working Committee.
All private media proprietors in Lagos State, Owners of Online Newspapers, Newspapers, Magazines, TV, Radio and Blogs, are invited to attend.
