NELGA BOSS STRENGTHENS SECURITY, DONATES BRAND NEW SIENNA TO VIGILANTE

As part of his unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Ndokwa East Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Chief Vincent Onyekweli Osilonya, today Friday, 31st July 2026, donated a brand new Toyota Sienna patrol vehicle to the Ashaka/Ushie Vigilante/Anti-Cult Joint Patrol Team.
The official handover ceremony took place shortly after a strategic security meeting held with security stakeholders. The vehicle was presented to the Chairman of the Ashaka/Ushie Vigilante Group, Mr. Lucky Olando, in the presence of other security personnel, vigilante commanders, anti-cult operatives, and community security stakeholders.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Chief Vincent Onyekweli Osilonya reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering resolve to strengthen community policing and support local security outfits with the necessary logistics to effectively combat crime and maintain peace in the area. He emphasized that security remains a top priority of his administration, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in a peaceful and secure environment.
The Chairman urged the vigilante operatives to make effective and responsible use of the new patrol vehicle in carrying out surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response to security challenges within Ashaka, Ushie, and surrounding communities. He also called for sustained collaboration between the vigilante group and other conventional security agencies to ensure lasting peace across the local government.
Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the Ashaka/Ushie Vigilante/Anti-Cult Joint Patrol Team, Mr. Lucky Olando expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman for the generous gesture. He described the donation as timely and historic, assuring that the vehicle would be deployed strictly for security operations and the protection of lives and property.
The event concluded with goodwill messages from security personnel, who commended Hon. Chief Vincent Onyekweli Osilonya for his proactive investment in grassroots security. They pledged their continued commitment to partnering with the local government in ensuring a safer and more secure Ndokwa East for all residents.
