Welfare and security remain my top priorities – Yarima
A member of the Federal House of Representatives in Zamfara State, Hon. Mohammed Sani Ahmed (Abba Yariman Bakura), has reassured the people of his constituency of his commitment to improving their lives, saying welfare and security remain his top priorities.
Abba Yariman Bakura recently distributed 6,600 bags of assorted food items to the poor, vulnerable persons, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and supporters as part of a Ramadan welfare package for his constituents.
Hon. Mohammed Sani Ahmed (Abba Yariman Bakura), representing the Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, reiterated his concern for the welfare and well-being of his constituents, particularly the less privileged in the state.
Speaking during the formal distribution exercise, the Chairman of the distribution committee, Alhaji Aliyu S. Pawa Bakura, explained that the assorted food items distributed included rice, millet, sugar and milk for vulnerable persons, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and supporters across Bakura and Maradun Local Government Areas.
“The assorted food items comprise 3,000 bags of rice, 2,000 bags of millet, 1,000 bags of sugar and 600 cartons of Peak milk, among other items, as part of his wide mind to assist the needy and supporters across the two local government areas,” he explained.
The chairman of the distribution committee, who is also the senior legislative aide to the House of Representatives member, Aliyu S. Pawa, maintained that Hon. Abba Yariman Bakura is deeply concerned about the welfare, security and well-being of his constituents.
“This initiative is a way of ensuring that those facing hardship can also share in the blessings of this Ramadan season, a time of generosity, reflection and kindness,” he said.
In their separate remarks shortly after the distribution exercise, Alhaji Yakubu Gado Maradun and Mohammed Sani Dantsoho Rini lauded the efforts of the lawmaker in sympathising with his constituents during the Ramadan period in the state.
